1) Description

Unitube, armored cable.
The fibers, either single or multi-mode type, are placed in a loose tube made of a high modulus plastic. The tubes are filled with a water resistant filling compound. The tube is covered with steel wires around. A layer of Copolymer Coated Aluminum tape is wrapped longitudinally. Between the Copolymer Coated Aluminum tape and the steel wires, water blocking material is applied to keep the cable compact and watertight. The cable is completed with a PE sheath.
